Fortus Management Partners begins working with clients
in search for capital well before the creation and distribution
of an offering memorandum.
By being involved at the beginning, often the critical stage in
the fund raising process, Fortus is best able to maximize the value
of the deal both for the client and for the investing firm or firms
by acting as strategic counsel to the issuer when dealing with private
equity funds to raise capital.
Fortus Management Partners' fund raising services include:
- Assist the client in developing a detailed funding plan, taking
into account the company's capital structure and needs and the
management's long and short-term goals and objectives
- Build sophisticated financial modeling platforms in order to
factor in intangibles such as company performance, client operational
and financial structure, and capital and market assumptions
- Consult with company to determine the amount of capital needed
and deal structure best suited for the client's needs
- Create business plan
and offering memorandum suitable for dissemination to the investing
community
- Develop a valuation range
for the company and offering based on market conditions, business
model, competitive space, etc.
- Coach client executives on presentation of the company to potential
investors
- Identify individual and/or institutional investors whose investment
goals are in line with the sort of offering and market space that
the client is in
- Assist the client in preparing an informational memorandum that
is sent to private equity funds for their review
- Interface with funds/investors to position deal and respond
to questions
- Be involved in every step in the discussions, negotiations,
due diligence and close of investment round
- Assist in the development of an exit strategy that meets the
needs of current management and owners as well as the needs of
the investment partners
